about

"The Lost Idea" was a dead-end compositional idea that I couldn't reconcile and, after days of work, abandoned. Upon it's discovery I made another attempt at completing the song and decided not to force the path of the music, but let it resolve itself. With this approach, the direction of the melody and chord changes flowed easily to it's resolution. Maybe a larger lesson is learned here.
