Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Barry Deister has worked with some of the best musicians of that City including pianist John Campbell, drummer Robert Shy, saxophonist Ed Peterson & drummer Paul Wertico. In 1989 he produced “East/West Dialogue” in collaboration with NYC base Jim McNeeley. He has also performed with legendary vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson and composer Anthony Braxton.
